amazing saturday

On saturday, we had to arrive at the hospital at 7.15 am to do the ward rounds .. We were divided into 3 groups : 5 JIS students in one group, they went to the general surgery ward n later the mornin went to the operation theater to see the surgeons do an operation to take out a baby .. cool rite? =P

The next group is suppose to consist of 5 MS students bt the Mahirah decided to join the third group .. They went to the Gastroenterology clinic then they watch the doctors stick tubes n camera down a person's throat n some into the anus .. haha xD

The third group consist of me, Lena n 2 other MD students n Mahirah .. At 7.15, we met at the orthopaedics ward then to other wards cos appearantly, the orthopaedic patients r scattered around as nt enuf space arah the ortho ward .. Finished the ward rounds at round 9+ .. The doc then brought us to the clinic n had some tea ..

At bout ten, he divided us up so I ended wit lena .. we went into a doctor's office n watched him consult patients .. It was kinda cool lol =P .. In the afternoon, the doctor invited us to go to the operation theater .. so off we went .. It was a really amazing experience =P

One of the doctors brought us around so that we dun haf to see ortho surgery saja .. we saw a lot of different kinds of operation .. Didn't realise it was this cool .. A bit disgusting bt cool =P .. Here r some pics taken at the changing room :

Wednesday n thursday

On wednesday mornin, we had 4 lectures .. one for physiotherapy, one for occupational therapy, one for speech therapy n one for audiology .. After ech lecture, we had a short tour of each department .. It was o.k I guess bt a lil bit borin xD .. In the afternoon, we went to the national dental centre at berakas old airport .. Had a short lecture then toured the building n went home ..

On thursday mornin, we went to the child development centre at kiarong .. The centre actually consists of lots n lots of bungalows .. Inside the bungalows, there r like lots n lots of toys .. so fun =D .. In the afternoon, we went to the RIMBA health centre, listened to yet another lecture then toured the building .. After that, we went to the dialysis centre n had a short lecture n a tour .. It was kinda disgusting seeing the blood filled tubes xD

Few days back

Went to a wedding reception on sunday at the new Kiulap hotel .. The food is quite amazing .. Bt then very dehydrating .. haha .. Too much salt! I saw Hui Jin with her family n Pei chy wit her family .. Pey chi was sitting just behind me n hui jin was 3 tables away xD .. Here r some pics .. Nt tat clear though .. :








On Monday mornin, I went to the hospital, 4th floor for a briefing for the week long hospital attachment .. Met Jin, Lena n sherwin there .. there were all together 14 people doing the attachment .. In the afternoon, they divided us into 3 groups .. I was in the same group as lena n two other girls n we went to the paediatrics department .. It was amazing .. Since the doctor's office was small, they assigned us a doctor each so it wasn't crowded n all .. The children r so very cute ! =D

This morning, we went round every section of the makmal negara at RIPAS .. It was o.k bt then very crowded as this time, they didn't divide us into groups .. In the afternoon, we went to the Radiology department n the in-patient pharmacy =D

wat I did

Yesterday, I went to fz with Hui Jin n met Lena there =D .. We worked out fr round 3/4 of an hour .. 20 minutes on bike, rest, 20 minutes on treadmill .. After that, we rested n talked then we walk to Seri Q-Lap mall .. Went to Guardian, looked around, went to CD shop, looked around then we walk round the whole mall, up to the cinema n back down again .. After that we walked to Hua Ho Kiulap .. Went upstairs to shop fr cards then went down again .. Met Aklimah .. Seriously didn't recognise her xD .. Had to double look .. haha .. Then Hui Jin bought a drink n I went home ..

This morning, I had to wake up early as I had appointment at the neuro surgery place .. My mom brought me to the neurologist instead xD .. I kept asking her whether that is the correct place n she say yes .. The nurse even accepted my appointment card! .. 30 minutes later, the nurse called me n told me I'm at the wrong place .. What the heck .. It took her like 30 minutes to figure that out!

So .. off I went with my mom to the new building .. looked at the sign near the lifts n saw that neuro surgery is on the 1st floor .. went to the 1st floor bt couldn't find it .. My mom asked a person there n he pointed to the door right in front of us .. Seriously weird .. The sign on the door says Pembedahan Otak .. I was like Neuro surgery is pembedahan otak in malay?!

The doctor asked me to lie down n flexed my knee, lifted up my leg n all those stuff .. Bt seriously, I have no idea why he HAD to tickle my foot .. something wrong with him man .. So then he looked at my x-ray n drew lines on it n found out my bone was bent 27degrees .. He say I would need treatment if only it goes up to 40degrees .. Bt then, I'm still growing.. So if i grow more, the bone bend more .. so he say I have to check every 6 months to see the progress of the bend .. whether the degree increase or not ..

Thats bout it .. Going off for marriage reception soon .. Hope I meet Hui Jin there =D

Chinese chamber lunch

Last sunday, while silyin n lena were busy trekking n wajee n anwar busy mengetam-ing padi, me, amy, hui jin n sherwin attended the annual lunch buffet held by the chinese chamber of commerce .. We each gt $110 richer tat day ^-^

This lunch thingy was held at the seri q-lap hotel .. the food was amazing ! Ate n ate n ate till cannot eat anymore .. Nothin really interestin happened except fr the wushu performance towards the end of lunch .. It was o-klah .. The kids r quite cute xD .. Here r some pics:

The first ever fitness zone amazing trial race .. haha xD

It has been long .. Today, I'm gonna share on a worthwhile experience that happened 2sundays ago on 9th March 2008 .. It was a normal sunny sunday .. I woke up at 5.30 am .. Called ming rui at 6, asking her whether she has seen my t-shirt .. I can't belive tat I lost a t-shirt !! Arrived at Tasek Lama at round 7-ish wit a green shirt I dug up frm my cupboard .. Others were wearing the fz shirts ..

Met Jin, rui n hui yi at the 1st cabin .. Jin's family was there .. Your sis is so cute, Jin !! =) .. I asked the fz people fr a shirt n went to the toilet to change .. Appearantly, when I came out of the toilet, teacher hasnah was there n so she saw me bt I didn't see her lol .. haha .. wajee told me her mom saw me xD

Went back to the first cabin n attended the short stretch session led by Miko .. The the race started .. We were given a clue n wat a clue tat was xD It says to go round Tasek mountain until you reach sheraton .. The hills were slippery !! I swore at my shoes which appearantly have no stinkin grip !!

After sheraton, we had to run all the way to jubilee park to do the shoe lace race .. It looked easy bt then again .. looks cn be deceiving ! Spent around 10-15 minutes tryin to untie our shoe laces after the race .. Overtaken by 3 teams during that time !! Oh well ..

After the shoe lace race, we had to run all the way to the mall, gadong .. The policeman was weird .. I was still at the bend juz in front of SKH store n he stopped the cars n waited .. Wat the heck man .. I'm sure the car drivers will be stinkin angry !!

After the mall, we had to go to pasar gadong .. We had to finish eatin 1kg of bananas n 1.5L of coke .. Hui jin n rui nearly puked .. haha xD .. N our hands were dirty ! No sink to wash hand .. Gt slight food poisonin later tat day .. haha xD

After pasar, we ran back to fz .. there we had to do the tyre race thingy, then crawl under the rope thingy .. Jin hurt her knees here .. haha .. cos it was on very rocky ground xD .. After tat was the wheelbarrow race .. Gosh .. This was the worst part of the race ! I couldn't carry myself up with my hands .. wrong method .. so I kept on dropping to the ground n gt my shirt n pants covered with soil ..

Then, I stupidly tried to crawl with my elbow .. very studip idea ! Hurt my elbow badly .. still have the marks nw .. haha .. A rock gt stuck on the palm of my hand .. hui yi helped me remove it .. Ir hurts ! Anyway, we finished the race in the end =D

N I won an award ! I won the dirtiest competitor, thx to the stinkin wheelbarrow race ! .. Gt myself a free manicure lol .. haha xD .. Wen we were bout to go home, we saw lena, she came down of her car n talked wit us a lil bit .. she was waitin fr her sis who is workin temporarily as a cashier at the fz spa .. =D
